One of our key initiatives for the 2026-2027 Lodge Year is establishing a future planning process and committee. This committee will be unique—because every member of the Lodge will be part of it (congratulations!). Our initial goal is to gather your ideas about what members would like Cranberry Elks Lodge #2249 to look like in 5, 10, 20, and even 30 years. What steps do we need to take today to ensure a vibrant future? Many of us have children who are members, and some have grandchildren we hope will one day join. We must think ahead to take our Lodge from very good to truly great.
To help guide this effort, here are some of the topics we’ll be exploring:
Should we continue to increase our membership, or consider limits?
Is our current facility adequate for the future? If not, what improvements should we consider?
Beyond Grand Lodge mandates, which charities should we support—and how do we prioritize them?
Our fundraising efforts are somewhat uncoordinated. Is this acceptable, or should we better align our approach to avoid overburdening members?
Are members satisfied with our food and dining experience? What improvements or ideas should we explore, and what are other Lodges doing successfully?
Is our entertainment meeting expectations, or are there other types of events members would enjoy?
Are there additional youth or drug awareness programs we should sponsor?
What are the primary concerns and interests of our membership?
Please watch the Bellows, read email communications, and check postings around the Lodge for opportunities to participate. This is your Lodge, and your input is essential.
